Clenergy Software Launches in Selected Rexel UK Stores

Clenergy EV has exclusively partnered with Rexel UK to supply its software to a number of branches across the UK.

Clenergy EV’s charging software is now available at 10 initial stores, to allow installers to pay the cheapest-in-market price in-store and empower customers with easy ways to process payments for charging, 24/7 post-install support, and the option to set different tariffs for different users.

What is EV charging software?

EV charging software is an essential tool for anyone in control of an EV charger.

Whether you’re a business with a network of 50 or a driver with a single one at home, it allows you to do simple things like lock the public out as well as access more complex and useful features.

That's a quick breakdown, but you can find a more in-depth walkthrough by visiting our product section.

What are its benefits to installers?

Making software part of your installation package adds to what you can offer your existing customers, and makes it possible to gain bigger commercial clients.

That means:

  • Added revenue streams
  • Bigger client pools
  • More referrals

You can read more about what EV charging software can bring for installer businesses in our case study with e.park Solutions here.

Clenergy EV CEO Will David commented:

“Getting this deal over the line helps us deliver on our core statement; to make EV charging easier and more accessible to everyone.”

“Installers will now be able to walk away from store visits with software ready to go and install for customers, boosting their offering and spreading the awareness of its benefits.”

The EV charging opportunity

In the past 12 months alone, the public network of EV chargers has increased by over 57%. Because of this rapid growth to around 64,000 public chargers at the time of writing.

Government targets alone dictate that a further 236,000 public chargers need to be installed by 2030 to keep up with demand, which means the rate of installation would have to keep increasing exponentially to stay on track.

And that’s without taking into consideration installations available for businesses and organisations that won’t be made available to the public, and private installations estimated to total 2.3 million by 2030.

Just this past week, the Royal Mail announced an additional 2,100 electric cars to its fleet, bringing the total number of electric vehicles operated by the organisation to around 7,500.

The company is committed to charging the majority of these vehicles in-house using renewable energy in a bit to become zero emission by 2040.

With a further 41,500 vans and 6,200 trucks and trailers, due to make the switch to electric, the potential demand from this alone is huge. Of course, that represents one deal, but it’s one that’s being replicated nationwide with EV fleet sales continuing to drive the EV markets.

With management software being essential to these kinds of corporate, multi-install contracts, being able to provide this solution confidently could be the difference between making the grade and having another contractor picked to do the job.
