Quickfire Questions
Q: If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
I’d have dinner with Mahatma Gandhi. I’d bring him a pizza and watch his reaction when he realises he doesn’t have to spin the dough himself! Plus, I’d love to get his thoughts on modern-day protests —though I might need to remind him that tweeting angrily doesn’t count as non-violent resistance.
Q: What's your go-to karaoke song (if you had to choose one)?
If I had to choose a go-to karaoke song, it would be "Baby Shark" by Pinkfong! It’s super simple, repetitive, and everyone knows the words, so even non-singers can have fun with it. Plus, you can get the whole crowd to join in with the dance moves!
Q: Do you have a favorite book, movie, or TV show that you recommend to everyone?
I would recommend watching Big Bang Theory. Its mix of clever science references, quirky characters, and hilarious situations makes it a standout. Plus, it's a great way to enjoy both nerdy humour and heartwarming friendships.

Q: How do you relax after a busy working week?
I love to unwind by going shopping for some retail therapy, cooking up something special, or watching a movie with my partner. I also enjoy taking my dog Enzo on adventures to explore new parks each weekend.
Q: If you could job-share with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and what would you want to learn from them or contribute?
If I could job-share with anyone in the company for a day, I would choose to work with Alex, our product designer. As a web developer, my work is closely tied to creating and implementing the user interface for our applications, but I know that a lot of thought goes into designing these interfaces before they reach me.
By spending a day with Alex, I would have the opportunity to learn about the design process from the ground up. I’d gain insights into how user research and feedback are translated into design concepts, and how decisions are made about the layout, visual elements, and overall user experience of our products. Understanding these aspects would help me see the reasons behind certain design choices and how they aim to solve user problems or improve usability.
I’m particularly interested in learning more about the tools and techniques Alex uses to create mockups and prototypes. Seeing how designs are iterated based on user feedback would give me a deeper appreciation for the user-centric approach that guides our product development. This knowledge would help me as a developer to better align my coding practices with design intentions, ensuring that the final product stays true to the designer’s vision and provides a seamless user experience.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, professionally or personally?
Always keep learning and stay curious; technology evolves fast, and so should you.
It reminds me that there is always something new to learn, and that there’s value in being open-minded and inquisitive. Whether it’s picking up a new hobby, learning about a different culture, or developing a new skill, staying curious enriches my life and broadens my perspective. It pushes me out of my comfort zone and helps me grow as a person.
Q: What’s the most memorable project you’ve worked on, either here or in a previous job?
The most memorable project I've worked on is definitely my current role at Clenergy. I’ve always believed in the power of technology to drive positive change, and here, I get to do just that. Being part of a team that focuses on sustainable transportation and contributing to a greener future aligns perfectly with my personal values.
